Pediatric Dentistry

Pedodontics is a branch of science that deals with the oral and dental health, jaw-facial development, preventive and curative treatment of children aged 0-13 years. They aim to maintain healthy milk and permanent teeth. It is thought that milk teeth are temporary and can be extracted when they decay. However, the period of deciduous dentition is a blueprint for the future jaw and tooth structure. Therefore, milk teeth should be protected.
