How is Free Gum Graft Applied?
It is applied to cover the exposed tooth roots and to obtain sufficient adherent gums. The operation is performed under local anesthesia. The area where the graft will be taken and the area where the gum recession is located are anesthetized. After the grafting process is complete, new blood vessels grow into the graft and help it integrate with the surrounding tissue. At the end of the recovery period, gum problems are reduced and the patient has an aesthetic appearance.
