Dental X-ray Film
Dental X-ray film provides detailed images of the tooth and surrounding tissues, focusing on the tip of the tooth root (periapical area). This small-sized X-ray is typically used for examining 2-3 teeth, offering clearer details than panoramic X-rays. It is commonly used to detect issues like tooth decay and root infections.

How Is a Periapical X-ray Taken?
A small film is placed inside the mouth near the tooth being examined. The patient gently bites on the film to keep it in place while the X-ray is taken. Thanks to modern technology, the image is now captured digitally for clearer and faster results.
